This past Saturday we visited the BC Wildlife Park Wildlights Festival. It was a cold night, about -18 degrees celsius(0 degrees fahrenheit) but we still had fun.
The admission for two adults was $25.20 including tax. Mmmmmm! To stretch our admission dollars we decided to visit the park while daylight still remained. Visiting the park before 4 pm allowed us to see the animals in the park before it became too dark. The park closes at 4 pm on the weekends but at 5 pm it reopens for Wildlights. Between 4-5 pm we visited the café and the gift shop.
Here I am paying a visit to Santa. I never put my full weight on his leg, but it probably broke anyway. Sorry, dude!
You know it’s cold when even the goat is wearing a jacket and refuses to move from the heat lamp. Of course goats, are pretty smart. In the words of Bruno Mars, “Don’t believe me just watch!” Seriously, watch this video and you’ll see how smart goats are! If you want to see more, just click on my Log Barn post.
Now there’s a big boy!
Sadly, there was no Llama to be seen. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the sign. Oh cheesy animal puns, how you make me laugh. 🙂
The zookeeper in attendance gave us some treats for these goats. Once these goats know you have something for them they don’t back off. Even after I gave them my treat they wanted more and more!!! In fact, I almost didn’t make it out alive. True story.
Finally, here’s one of the displays from the BC Wildlife Park Wildlights Festival. There were a lot of great displays all over the park. I really wish I had more photos of the night displays but my iPhone automatically powered down due to the extreme cold weather. Sorry! Go and see it for yourself. 🙂
Yes I would like t o visit this wildlife park. Great for children and from what I can see adults to.
