Costco Evenflo Symphony Sport Review
To help me find a good quality car seat, I logged in to Consumer Reports Online through my Calgary Public Library membership. According to Consumer Reports, the Evenflo Symphony series ranks quite well for an all-in-one car seat. Bang Bang!!!
Costco sells the seat for $150, a smoking deal. In comparison, I found that most car seats in the same class are between $300-$400. Daddy likey.
One of the advantages of the Symphony series is that it’s an all-in-1 seat, and is rated for kids from 5 lbs – 110 lbs. Therefore, this seat should be the only car seat my son ever needs. In addition, the seat has an 8 year life expectancy. I like it, I like it a lot.
Installation was easy. I noticed that the Symphony Deluxe model has Evenflo’s “SureLatch” ratcheting system. No doubt that SureLatch is a nice feature, but I have no issues with the hook system that the Sport model uses. Sold!!!
Overall, I’m quite happy with this purchase!
What to do if sold out
If none are left in your warehouse, here are my suggestions.
- Ask a staff member to check the computer for remaining inventory at other local Costco warehouses. – Maybe a neighbouring Costco will still have some.
- Visit Costco’s website. – Unfortunately, the website doesn’t seem to have this model, but has a number of other car seats. Therefore, it’s worth checking out.
- Try again next year at this time. – I seem to remember these seats arriving at the same time last year. Early March seems to be Costco Car Seat season.
