Having recently moved to Prince George, I’m learning the location of various community services. One these services being recycling. I know it may sound lame but trust me, recycling just feels good! Prince George has a few locations for recycling but today I’ll feature the Prince George Recycling Centre. The PG Recycling Centre can accept a number of items. Furthermore, it’s near Costco making it a pretty convenient place to drop stuff off at.
The Prince George Recycling Centre
Accepts most electronics, batteries, beverage containers, small appliances, packaging(paper, cardboard, styrofoam) and metal cans. If you paid a deposit on your beverage containers you can return them here and receive the deposit back. Getting paid is never a bad thing. It may not seem like much, but when you remove the items listed above from your regular trash, there’s actually much that doesn’t need to go to the local landfill.
The Prince George Recycling Centre is near Costco, located at 2614 Petersen Road. The Centre is also open between Monday – Saturday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Now that’s convenient!

Every one should be aware of a recycling depot near you. We have to be concerned about our environment everyday. Thank you for your concern and information.j
